5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!, April 16, 2010

This review is from: Durgol Swiss Espresso Decalcifier for Espresso and Coffee Machines 5 Pack (10 Bottles) (Kitchen)
After reading reviews for many coffee machine decalcifiers I was concerned that using any product might ruin the machine. Knowing that the machine might be ruined if I don't do something, I chose this product as it had the best reviews (though not all great). Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised at both how easy it was to use and how good the coffee tasted afterwards. I didn't realize the mineral build-up inside the machine had such an impact on the taste of the coffee. Bottom line - I'll use this product from now on without worry.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love it, but plan for it to break, March 7, 2010
By

This review is from: Keurig Cafe One-Touch Milk Frother (Kitchen)
I am the world's biggest Keurig milk frother fan, so why am I giving it only 3 stars? Because this expensive and addicting accessory only works reliably for about three months. It froths milk for those first few months like nobody's business, perfectly heating your milk with a snowy mountain of froth on the top - and then it stops working. I know this through extensive personal experience, because I have (hangs head in shame) actually paid for three of these puppies - that's how obsessed I am with them. I returned the first one after a surprisingly contentious phone conversation with a Keurig representative who all but accused me of breaking the item. "You can only use skim milk with it", she admonished me, even though the advertising blurbs for the item say nothing about that. I have dutifully complied with the rules for frothers #2 and #3, but yesterday, when the third one gave up the ghost, predictably, at the 3-month-mark, I decided that my dysfunctional relationship with the... 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect match for your Keurig brewer., November 8, 2009

This review is from: Keurig Cafe One-Touch Milk Frother (Kitchen)
Found this item cheaper at a local "Bed, Bath and Beyond" store ($79).

This product works as advertised. It has three parts:

1. The base (which plugs into the wall and provides the electricity)
2. The decanter which contains the electrics that heats the milk. There is a socket under the decanter the plugs into and sits loosely the base.
3. The removeable lid that has a stirrer attached to it.
3. The stirrer, which is a tiny wire whisk that you can remove when you only want to heat the milk.

Its very easy to operate... You put the correct amount of milk into the decanter(There are two fill lines, one for froth, and one for hot milk), place the decanter onto the base and press a button. The wire whisk spins around as the unit heats the milk and you get a nice single serving of froth. Remove the whisk and you can simply heat up the milk. The unit shuts itself off automatically when it is finished properly frothing or heating your... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money!, January 14, 2010
This review is from: Keurig Cafe One-Touch Milk Frother (Kitchen)
The first unit was purchased last Saturday, and Saturday afternoon, I made delicous and abundant froth for my coffee. The next morning, my husband made it, and it only half frothed. Monday, the unit did not work at all; replaced it. Monday afternoon, new unit must not have heated long enough. No work. Replaced it, thinking third time's a charm--Fool that I was. These units are definitely lemons--not charming. The third one shut off this afternoon after around 35 seconds. I think that is the problem, they are shutting off prematurely. What are the chances that my local Bed, Bath & Beyond got stuck with a shipment of lemons with electrical cords and cheap, plastic frothers?

Product Description

Espressione Classic Espresso is a rich blend suited for the North American palate. Each ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) pod contains seven grams of coffee that have been compressed into a convenient filter package that eliminates the need to guess and gauge the exact amount of coffee needed per serving. Produced by an Old World Italian coffee roaster, Espressione coffee blends are of the finest quality, featuring the best varieties of Arabica and Robusta coffee.

Amazon.com

From Espressione come these pods containing 100 percent arabica coffee for fuss-free espresso brewing. Each sealed pod, which resembles a round tea bag, contains the proper amount of ground coffee (7 grams to be exact) to make a single serving of decaffeinated espresso. Afterward, the pod can be tossed away. There's no messy, uncertain measuring of coffee into an espresso machine's filter and no messy cleanup. The espresso for the pods comes freshly roasted from selected Italian roasters. The pods fit espresso machines using the trademark E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso), including certain models of espresso makers made by Briel, FrancisFrancis!, DeLonghi, and others. --Fred Brack

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Starbucks espresso pods, June 6, 2002
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Using the Briel Chamonix machine I purchased from Amazon, I have produced delicious lattes using these pods. The smell of the Espressione pods (regular and decaf) when opened is incredible - dark, rich roasts. FYI - the pods are produced in Italy, which is a good sign. Also, each pod has a handy paper "tab" so that you can remove it from your machine without burning your fingers. I compared these pods to Starbucks espresso pods (regular and decaf), and the Espressione are my favorite. Only one warning: 150 pods (individually wrapped) take up a lot of space, so be sure you know where you're going to store them. More good news: each box of 150 is stamped with a "best if used by" date, which in my case was 16 months after the date of purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding flavor, great price!, February 24, 2003
By
"websurpher" (the West Coast, USA) - See all my reviews
After years of using Starbuck's decaf and regular single serving espresso pods, I finally found a substitute that's more economical and MUCH better tasting.

I've used three different brands of pods in my Starbuck's Barista machine, and have found that the quality of the pod and the flavor of the espresso inside is, by far, the best in the Espressione pods. The flavor is more full bodied and stronger than in the Starbuck's pods. I actually use one pod to make two shots of espresso, and the flavor is more intense than when I buy my specialty drinks from Starbucks or other coffee houses.

Also, the pod itself is of very high quality. Each pod is individually wrapped in an airtight, hard foil wrapper, and I've never opened a package yet that contained a torn pod with coffee spilling out. Such is not the case with other lesser brands.

The tab on each pod is also handy, making it easier to switch out a hot spent pod with a new one when making a second round of espresso.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Easy cup of Espresso, November 1, 2002
By
This review is from: Espressione 100% Arabica Coffee, 150-Count Pods (Grocery)
I've purchased both the Espressione Espresso (classic) and the 100% Arabica. My vote is definitely with the 100% Arabica. The flavor has more bite and flavor (much more like European coffee than American).
